38th Paraw Regatta 2010 @ Villa Arevalo

Th 38th edition of the Paraw Regatta in Iloilo will be held on February 21, 2010. The event will be held at the Villa Beach in Arevalo Iloilo, fronting the Tatoy’s Restaurant. Paraw Regatta is said to be the oldest sailboat racing competition in Asia. The “Paraw” is a wind driven sailboat used transport people and goods during the olden times. What makes the Paraw Regatta popular is its very colorful sails. Oftentimes the sails become an artwork, full of vibrant colors portraying the annual theme of the competition.
